
Supreme court has questioned the Indian government's move for thesecond time this week. The apex court has warned that the country "willhave riots on the streets" and that the problem is very serious.
According to a report from Ndtv, the Supreme Court hasquestioned the Indian Government asking for answers to the petitions beingfiled against the note ban.

The Supreme Court also questioned the government on rollingback the move of cash withdrawal limit of Rs 4,500 back to Rs 2,000. Initially,the government had declared that the limit will be extended gradually butconsidering the immense cash-crunch in the system, the government notched downthe withdrawal limit to Rs 2,000.
The government replied to Supreme Court's query by sayingthat there is a dearth of cash because ATMs needed to be recalibrated as theyhave a single drawer for Rs. 100 notes.

The government also expressed their difficulty in spreadingthe new currency to lakhs of banks across the nation and calibrate the ATMs todispense the new currency.
The Supreme Court also refused to restrain the lower courtsfrom listening to appeals from the people suffering because of the government'smove to scrap the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. The court stated that, "peopleare facing real problems and we cannot shut them from moving courts to registertheir grievances."
