IRFC OFS oversubscribed 1.86 times on Day 1; government exercises green shoe optionThe government's offer for sale (OFS) in Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) witnessed strong demand from institutional investors, with the issue getting oversubscribed 1.86 times on the first day. Encouraged by the response, the Centre has decided to exercise the green shoe option, increasing the stake sale to 2%.The OFS is part of the Centre's FY27 disinvestment programme. The government initially offered a 1% stake in IRFC, with an option to sell an additional 1% through the green shoe mechanism if demand remained strong.
