Air cargo traffic up 34.2% in March

Aircraft movement increased in the month of March 2021 by 2.68% on Y-o-Y basis. 

Passenger handled at airport in the month of March 2021 declined by 3.3% on Y-o-Y basis as compared to fall of 43% and 46% in the month of February 2021 and March 2021 respectively.  

Total air cargo traffic rose by 34.2% y-o-y to 282.4 thousand tonnes in March 2021.

Domestic cargo traffic rose by 42.5% y-o-y to 109.9 thousand tonnes in March 2021. It accounted for 38.9% of the total cargo traffic carried during the month.
