Rural India witnessed higher inflation in June 2021, compared to the preceding month. Retail price inflation for agricultural labourers, measured by the CPI-AL, rose to 3.8 per cent in June 2021.
The food group, which accounts for 69.15 per cent of the consumption basket of agricultural labourers, saw inflation rise to 2.7 per cent from 1.5 per cent.
Inflation of agricultural labourers for pan, supari and intoxicants increased to 8.72 per cent in June 2021 on y-o-y basis.
Fuel and light inflation for agricultural labourers increased 12-month high at 3.18 per cent in June 2021.
Agricultural labourers inflation for clothing, bedding and footwear increased by 5.9 per cent in June 2021 on y-o-y basis.
