In the fourth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, polling was held in 17 constituencies of Maharashtra, 13 in Rajasthan and 13 in Uttar Pradesh. Other parliamentary constituencies where polling took place where: 8 in West Bengal, 6 each in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, 5 in Bihar, 3 in Jharkhand and 1 in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the fourth phase, there are 12.83 crore voters, out of which 6.75 crore are male, 6.08 crore voters are female and 3,930 voters are of third gender.

961 candidates are contesting from 72 constituencies in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

1,40,852 polling booths were set up across 9 states covering all 72 constituencies in Phase 4 of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

In the entire election process, there are 89.9 crore voters who will cast their vote from over 2,354 registered political parties represented by over 8,000 candidates to win their claim to 543 Lok Sabha seats. The 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in 7 phases.

The first phase of Lok Sabha elections, which took place on April 11, witnessed a voter turnout of 69.50 per cent. A total of 91 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 18 states and 2 Union Territories went for polls in the first phase.

Polling for the second phase was held on April 18, 2019. Out of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies of the country, 95 constituencies, spread over 11 states and union territories, went to polls in the second phase. 69.44 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

In the third phase, polls for a total of 117 seats across 13 states and 2 union territories took place. Voter turnout for the third phase of the general elections has been pegged at 63.24 per cent.
