The US-based short-seller's damning research report on the Gautam Adani led conglomerate in January 2023 had triggered a $150 billion rout in Adani Stocks. The total market capitalization of Adani Group stock increased by more than Rs 87,750 crore on Thursday alone. The move comes days before Donald Trump’s inauguration and follows heightened scrutiny from a prominent Republican lawmaker. Congressman Lance Gooden recently criticized the US government’s probe into Adani Group companies, calling it a move that could harm America’s global alliances.
