The Indian cricket team brought home the ICC T20 World Cup trophy after 13 years, triumphing over South Africa by 7 runs without losing a single match. The BCCI announced a total prize money of Rs 125 crore, with each of the 15 players, including those who didn't play, receiving Rs 5 crore. Head Coach Rahul Dravid will also get Rs 5 crore, while his coaching staff will receive Rs 2.5 crore each. Additionally, the backroom staff, selectors, reserve players, and BCCI staff members involved in the World Cup will share in the prize money.
