Jet Airways, India's premier airline, on Monday announced the introduction of an in-flight streaming service that will enable wireless streaming of a wide range of movies, TV programmes, and music directly onto guests' Wi-Fi enabled personal devices. The solution will help the passengers to directly view onboard content on their smartphones, tablets and laptops.
The wireless streaming service will available for the airline's guests from the second quarter of 2016. Jet Airways will roll out the user-friendly and interactive interface which will enable the guests to make a choice from a wide range of multilingual content available onboard.
The new system has been developed in collaboration with with Global Eagle Entertainment Inc, a global leader in media content, technology and connectivity solutions to the travel industry, it said in a statement.
The airline further plans to upgrade to a full satellite connectivity in the future that will allow guests to have access to a range of services like internet surfing, e-mail, social media, connecting flight information, instant messaging, real time travel services and destination deals.
The in-flight entertainment (IFE) streaming service is futuristic and will offer a delightful experience to all the passengers onboard.
