Ramdev has been on a mission to bring back traditional education in India.

In fact, he runs the Acharyakulam school in Haridwar which is affiliated to the CBSE board but has special focus on the Hindu philosophy, the Shastras, Sanskrit and the Vedas.

In the ET interview, Baba Ramdev reiterated his plans to open 'Acharyakulam' schools in all districts.  But Ramdev's aspiration to change the Indian education system does not stop there.

He has also proposed an education board similar to the CBSE, but again focussing on the traditional Indian education.

Ramdev runs a Haridwar-based Vedic Education Research Institute that proposed a Vedic Education Board (VEB) for the country earlier this year.

The proposal made in March this year detailed how VEB would contribute to the Indian education system by providing a blend of human education of Aurobindo, archaistic education of Maharshi Dayanand and vedanta education of Swami Vivekananda.

Meanwhile, he has also said that Indians should boycott all Chinese products as India has received "nothing from China except betrayal".

On the centre's performance, Baba commended the Modi government for improving India's image globally, improving policies and internal security for the nation.
