So, UK voters have no idea what European Union is or why they 'brexited'

Google Trends caught the most googled words and phrases a day after the results, and to the surprise of all, Britons had to actually google " What is the EU referendum' and 'what happens if we leave the EU'.

June 24th may have been a defining day that may trigger grave repercussions for the Britain, UK voters, it seems, had no idea what they were voting on.

Any guesses what the Britons were looking up on the Google a day after the referendum verdict was out?

Google Trends caught the most googled words and phrases a day after the results, and to the surprise of all, Britons had to actually google " What is the EU referendum' and 'what happens if we leave the EU'.

With signatures rising, Labour Party MP, David Lammy tweeted: "We can stop this madness and bring this nightmare to an end through a vote in Parliament. Our sovereign Parliament needs to now vote on whether we should exit the EU."

"The referendum was an advisory, non-binding referendum. The Leave campaign's platform has already unravelled and some people wish they hadn't voted to Leave."
