VistaraVistara, which is a joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, has decided to get rid of the pay cut which it had implemented last year. The pay cut will no longer apply to certain categories of employees from April 2021 onwards. The pay cut, however, will continue to apply to salaries of management-level executives, including the CEO.Vistara had announced a nearly 40 per cent reduction in salaries of its employees in June 2020.
HyundaiThe better than expected demand in the automobile sector has led to rewarding employees in the industry with roll back of pay cuts along with increments. India's second largest carmaker Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) started their appraisal process from last month February.In fact, as per the sources, there wasn't any salary cut at any level. Everyone got a hike instead.
Bajaj AutoThere was no pay cut at Bajaj Auto but the two-wheeler giant had to delay promotions due to COVID-led adverse market situation. But it was also done alongside increments.
Make My TripMakeMyTrip Group restored the compensation for all frontline and mid-level employees and for the senior executives from the month of September across its three entities - MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo and Redbus - last year.

DroomOnline automobile marketplace Droom reinstated original salaries with effect from October 1, 2020. "Towards the end of July we had announced to the employees that unless there is further recession and things go awry, we will end the pay cuts which we had announced in April," says Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Droom.
