Not only did he share a tweet calling tiny houses 'trend in the making' but also shared a photo of a mobile home atop an autorickshaw. Tiny house atop a rickshawA Tamil Nadu-based young architect, N.G Arun Prabhu, received praises from businessman Anand Mahindra, when he built a portable home on top of an auto rickshaw costing Rs 1 lakh. The Chairman of Mahindra Group shared pictures of the unique mobile home on Twitter, which became the only thing people could talk about that day.
All about small footprintsMahindra referred to IKEA's tiny-built homes calling them a 'trend in making'. Describing tiny houses, he said that tiny homes were all about small-footprints and could be mobile if kept on a trailer. Sharing Joe Pompliano's tweet, Mahindra asked twitterati what could be the best term to describe them: 'Home-on-the-run?' or 'Living on the loose'?

Who is selling Tiny Houses in India?Leading furniture-maker IKEA is the first to jump onto the Tiny-House Movement bandwagon. It has initiated the Tiny Home Project, a design/build exercise that fits a home into a 187-sq-ft, off-grid house on wheels. It has partnered with Vox Creative and contracted RV and tiny home builder Escape for the Vista Boho XL model. The tiny house is fitted with solar panels, a composting toilet and an on-demand RV water heater.
