Audi e-tron GT is available in two versions -- the RS e-tron GT and the e-tron GT quattro -- both powered by two electric motors and fed by an 85-kWh battery, same as in Porsche Taycan. The e-tron GT's transmission has also been borrowed from the Taycan. Since both Audi and Porsche are part of Volkswagen group of companies, the e-tron GT and Taycan share the same chassis and battery platform.

Jaguar Land Rover India had launched the I-PACE in the country in March last year. The I-PACE comes equipped with a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery which is capable of producing 294 kW and 696 Nm of peak torque. The EV's battery will take around 45 minutes to charge from 0-80 per cent. The Jaguar I-PACE is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph within just 4.8 seconds.

Morris Garages (MG)'s new ZS EV comes with a front-axle mounted electric motor that churns out 176hp and 353Nm of power. MG also claims that the new ZS EV can reach from 0-100kph in 8.5 seconds. The price for the entry-level Excite variant starts at Rs 21.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 25.88 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the top-spec Exclusive trim.

Hyundai has launched its electric SUV 'KONA' in India in July 2019 at Rs 23.79 lakh. This SUV can go from 0-100 km/h in under 9.7 seconds. The SUV churns out 134 bhp and 395 Nm peak torque. According to the Hyundai Motors website, the car has a driving range of 452 km certified by the ARAI.

BMW iX brandishes a kidney grille with sensors, camera and radar tech, proximity sensors in body edging, flush door openers, washer under front logo, camera with washer in rear logo and integrated speakers. It also has BMW Head-Up Display's projector recessed into the instrument panel among other features.

Based on the Mercedes GLC platform, the EQC has two electric motors at its front and rear axles instead of a petrol or diesel internal combustion engine which is powered by a 80 kwh lithium ion battery. The motor has a peak output of  408 bhp and 760 NM of torque which enables the car to sprint from 0-100 kph in 5.1 seconds.

Launched in 2017, Tata Motors has constantly modernised the Nexon for safety, design, regulations, emissions and segment-defining feature additions. With the introduction of the recently launched Kaziranga Edition, the Nexon is available in 40 different variants including 22 petrol variants and 18 diesel versions with automatic and manual transmission options. Tata Motors’ first GNCAP 5star rated car, Nexon EV, saw its 2,00,000th production unit drive out in June 2021, and crossed a further 1 lakh mark in less than 8 months.

BMW group-owned company’s electrified version of Cooper SE looks look identical to the internal combustion version of its sibling, apart from the SE badging and a different powertrain. The new automobile is also 145 kg heavier compared to the petrol version. Speaking of the inside, the EV features a multifunctional heated steering wheel with Nappa leather upholstery, a Harmon Kardon-tuned sound system, wireless smartphone charger and black.

Mahindra e-Verito is an electric version of its sedan ‘Verito’ and derives its power from the Mahindra Electric’s drivetrain technology. The all-electric, zero-emission sedan was discontinued the in 2018 and the car is out of production. However, in select cities, one can still manage to get a refurbished version. Mahindra’s electric sedan was priced in the range of Rs 9.5 lakh to 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
