The much-awaited initial public offering (IPO) of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is all set to open on May 4 in the Rs 902-949 per equity share price band. The issue will close on May 9. The government will disinvest a 3.5 per cent stake in LIC to garner Rs 21,000 crore for the exchequer.
The initial public offering (IPO) of One97 Communications-owned Paytm was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 18,300 crore in November 2021. The stock was listed with a discount of 9 per cent at Rs 1,955 as against issue price of Rs 2,150.
The Coal India IPO helped the state-owned mining company raise more than Rs 15,000 crore in 2010. The company was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 15,199 crore and with a premium of 17 per cent at Rs 288 as against issue price of Rs 245.
Reliance Power Ltd. was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 11,563 crore in February 2008. The stock was listed with a premium of 22 per cent at Rs 548 as against its issue price of Rs 450.
State-run reinsurer General Insurance Corporation of India Limited or GIC India planned its IPO to raise Rs 11,370 crore public money. The company was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 11,176 crore in October 2017. The stock was listed with a discount of 7 per cent at Rs 850 as against issue price of Rs 912.
SBI Cards And Payment Services Ltd. got listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 10,355 crore in March 2020. The SBI subsidiary was listed with a discount of 13 per cent at Rs 658 as against issue price of Rs 755.
India's largest general insurer New India Assurance Company Ltd. was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 9,600 crore in November 2017. The stock got listed with a discount of 6 per cent at Rs 749 as against issue price of Rs 800.
Homegrown food delivery startup Zomato Ltd. was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 9,375 crore in July 2021. The stock was listed with a premium of 51 per cent at Rs 115 as against issue price of Rs 76.
Commercial real estate developer DLF Ltd., also known as Delhi Land & Finance, was listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 9,188 crore in July 2007. The stock got listed with a premium of 11 per cent at Rs 582 as against the issue price of Rs 525.
Indian mutual fund firm HDFC Life Insurance Co Ltd. got listed on the exchanges with an issue size of Rs 8,695 crore in November 2017. The stock was listed with a premium of 7 per cent at Rs 311 as against the issue price of Rs 290.
