India's largest public sector lender State Bank of India (SBI) on Friday reported a 41.2 per cent jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 9,113.53 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, 2022. The lender had posted a net profit of Rs 6,450.75 crore in the year-ago period. With this, the bank has registered its highest quarterly net profit in Q4FY22.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data for the month of March shows that Airtel led the pack with an addition of 2.2 million subscribers, while Reliance Jio added 1.2 million subscribers and Vodafone Idea lost 2.8 million subscribers. BSNL and MTNL lost subscribers too.
Tech Mahindra on Friday reported that its net profit jumped by 39.2 per cent Year-on-Year for the quarter ended March 31, 2022. The firm reported a net profit of Rs 1,506 for the January-March quarter of FY22. It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,081 crore in the year-ago period.
Escorts Limited has reported a 25.5 per cent drop in its standalone profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2022. Standing profit for January-March quarter stood at Rs 202.2 crore as against Rs 271.3 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
