Xiaomi has entered into the laptop space too. The Chinese company took the wraps off its first ever laptop - Mi Notebook Air. The ultra-thin, ultra-light laptop will be available in two variants - 13.3 inch and 12.5 inch.
Boasting a full metal body, the design seems to be inspired by Apple MacBook Air. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3 inch is 5.9mm thin bezel and is powered by Intel Core i5 processor along with 8GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX dedicated graphics card, expandable 256GB SSD with expandable SSD slot. Powered by Windows 10 Home, Xiaomi claims to offer 9.5 hours of battery backup.
It even supports 1C quick charging too that can charge the laptop 50 per cent in just 30 minutes and has got a full sized keyboard, individually backlit. It has been priced at RMB 4,999 (Rs 50,400 approx)
The 12.5inch Mi Notebook Air weigh 1.07 kg and is 12.9mm thin. Powered by Windows 10 Home, it runs on Intel Core M3 processor and has got 4GB of RAM and 128GB SATA SSD. It offers 11.5 hours battery life and supports 1C quick charging and is priced at RMB 3,499 (Rs 35,300 approx)
Both the laptops support host of connectivity options. Data can be synced between the laptop and Xiaomi smartphones using Mi Cloud. Even Mi Notebooks can be unlocked using Mi Band 2.
The laptops will go on sale in China and there isn't any word on the India launch yet.
