In this rarest of rare cases, the screenshots of yet to be launched iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 were reportedly spotted on iTunes on Wednesday. Whether it was an accidental upload or a deliberate move, the screenshots featured the official user guide to iOS 8 for iBooks and iTunes.

The company is expected to unveil the upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 on Thursday at company's media conference.  

The screenshot shows the images of both the devices illustrating the features of the gadgets including the new touch ID fingerprint scanner. It further explains the Burst Mode, which allows the user to click rapid fire photos. However the aesthetic design of the device resembles its fore-bearers.

The Cupertino giant is bullish that its new addition to its lineup of tablets will give a much needed push to the sales figure. Since consumers' preference these days is inclined towards smartphones, the iPad sales have slowed down.   

Despite being a market leader in its category, the devices have not innovated much in terms of design since its first model in 2010. The reason behind his was analyzed by Gartner, an American information technology research and advisory, which noted ints its survey that  most of the tablet users replace their devices after using it for a comparatively longer duration, which narrows the scope for a new product.

Other than the new iPads, Apple is also speculated to unveil new Mac Mini and illustrate its OS X Yosemite at the event scheduled to take place in California.
