July will indeed be an exciting month for SUV enthusiasts in India. Two of the biggest launches are set to happen next month, which includes the next-generation version of the popular Kia Seltos, catering to the mass market, and Maruti Suzuki's entry into the premium MPV segment with the new Invicto, based on the Toyota Innova Hycross. Here are some of the upcoming SUV launches in next week of July 2023:
Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its upcoming premium 3-row UV Invicto on July 5. It had recently opened bookings for the car at a token amount of Rs 25,000.
Invicto is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross and will be powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol engine that powers the Hycross. The engine produces 174PS of power and 205Nm of torque and is mated to a CVT automatic transmission.
The 3-row UV will be available in both 7-seater and 8-seater configurations. It is likely to come with a host of features, including a sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and a wireless charging pad.

The Invicto is expected to have an identical dashboard as the Toyota Innova Hycross, but with a different colour scheme. Although, the larger remains black. The Invicto comes with copper brown highlights for the plastic, which are generally silver-finished on the Hycross.
The Invicto is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. It will compete with the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Mahindra XUV700, and the Kia Carnival.
Kia will launch the next-generation Seltos in India on July 4. Potential buyers can now book the new Seltos SUV at a pre-booking amount of Rs 25,000.
The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will come up with various design modifications, including a revamped front grille, redesigned LED DRLs, and tweaked taillights.
Seltos will be equipped with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with the new 1.5-litre motor and it will churn out an output of 158bhp and 253Nm of torque. The 2023 Seltos will have both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearboxes and it will also have a 113bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine with a torque of 250Nm. Besides that, it will have a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 6-speed manual.
It is expected to feature a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will also introduce Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which will feature Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist and Intelligent Speed Limit Warning.
The 2023 Seltos will be available in new colours — Valais Green, Pluton Blue and Fusion Black.
The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is expected to be priced from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 21 lakh.
