Japanese automaker Honda has launched the latest model of CB200X earlier this week. The bike is the latest offering in the popular 200cc adventure bike segment. Consumers opt for this category often as it gives the right balance between power and practicality
The latest product of Honda is a direct rival of Hero Xpulse 200 4V and Suzuki V-Strom SX. The three bikes are the most popular options in their segment as they have adequate power for highways, good performance on city roads and also the capability for off-roading. Here’s a detailed comparison of the three rivals
The latest CB200X has a unique, angular front fairing with a beefy adventurer look. The bike offers an upright seating position with slung-side exhaust, alloy wheels and LED headlights
The new facelift of CB200X is equipped with USD forks, monoshock at the rear and disc brakes on both wheels with a single channel ABS. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with full LED lighting and LCD instrument cluster
The new Honda CB200X runs on a 184cc engine producing 17bhp of power and 15.9 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a 5-speed transmission
The design of Suzuki V-Strom SX is inspired by her bigger V-Strom siblings. The bike has an angular front, a narrow front fairing and a tall beak. Suzuki’s bike also runs on alloy wheels while offering an upright seating position
Suzuki’s bike is equipped with traditional telescopic forks, disc brakes on both wheels and a monoshock at the rear. The bike has a 19-inch front alloy wheel and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel. The bike also has a LCD instrument cluster with phone connectivity, navigation, call and SMS alerts
The V-Strom SX is powered by a 249cc engine producing 26bhp of power and 22Nm of torque. Suzuki offers a 6-speed transmission with its engine unlike Honda CB200X
Out of the three 200cc adventure bike, Hero Xpulse 200 4V has the most different design with a tall suspension, no fairing, high front fender, spoke wheels and a high-mounted exhaust. All these features give it more of a dirt bike look
Hero Xpulse 200 4V has a traditional telescopic front suspension and a monoshock at the rear. The bike has 21-inch front alloy wheel and a 18-inch rear alloy wheel, both are equipped with disc brakes. The bike has full LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster and three ABS modes
Hero Xpulse 200 4V is powered by a 199cc engine producing 19bhp of power and 17.3 Nm of torque. Similar to CB200X, Hero offers a 5-speed transmission in its bike
