South Korean carmaker Hyundai unveiled its flagship electric vehicle, Ioniq 5 in Mumbai on December 20
Three Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV cars were positioned in front of the Gateway of India, powering a light show on the monument. This was also symbolic of the car making its way to India
Pre-bookings for the new Ioniq 5 EV started on December 21, 2022. You can book your all new Hyundai EV on the company’s official website against a token amount of Rs 1 lakh
The car is expected to be equipped with:
- Either a 58kWh or a 72.6kWh battery
- A range of 383 km on a single charge for the battery of 58kWh
- 481 km range with the 72,6kWh battery
- Supports ultra fast 800V charging- can charge the battery from 10%-80% in 18 minutes
The car is equipped with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) which allows the customer to power electrical appliances up to 3.6 kW from inside & outside the vehicle. It also offers ARAI certified range of 631 km
Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV comes with a pair of 12-inch screens for the instrument cluster and the touchscreen, a head-up display with augmented reality functions and ADAS
Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV will be available in the following colour options:
- Gravity gold matte
- Optic white
- Midnight black pearl
Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV will be officially launched at the 16th Auto Expo, which is going to be held in Greater Noida in January 2023. The company will also reveal other specifications and price of the car in the expo
