The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has finally entered the premium MPV segment with the new Invicto, which is a rebadge version of Toyota Innova Hycross. This will be the fourth vehicle under the Maruti-Toyota brand partnership after Baleno-Glanza, Brezza-Urban Cruiser and Grand Vitara-Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Invicto is set to be the most expensive offering from Maruti Suzuki as the other three row seating cars from the brand have been in the entry-level MPV segment.

The basic design of Maruti Invicto is similar to that of the Innova Hycross with a slight difference in headlights. The new MPV also gets a slightly different grille with two thick, horizontal chrome slats that extend into the headlamps. The headlights also feature Nexa’s three-block signature daytime running lamps.

Another major change in Invicto is design of the 17-inch alloy wheels and the back light, which also feature Nexa’s three-block design. Apart from this and the badge of Maruti Suzuki, the two MPVs share a similar look.

Maruti Invicto is the most feature-rich car by Maruti as it gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and 50 Suzuki Connect features.

Maruti Invicto gets the latest 2.0-litre petrol engine with strong hybrid system which gives an output of 184 bhp. The car is offered only with CVT automatic transmission. Maruti will offer two variants of Invicto: Zeta+ and Alpha+. As for the mileage, the company claims a fuel efficiency of 23.24 kmpl.
