The MG Comet EV is an upcoming electric vehicle from MG Motor India which is based on Wuling Air EV which is sold globally
It is expected to launch in April 2023 and is expected to go on sale in mid-2023
It is a small electric car measuring just 2,900mm. For context, even Tata Nano is 3,099 mm long
It will be a much smaller alternative to rivals such as Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3
The Comet EV is expected to be powered by a battery of around 20-25kWh capacity which will be locally sourced from Tata AutoComp
The battery is expected to give the Comet EV a driving range of up to 300km that will likely be certified by iCAT
In terms of dimensions, it measures 1.5 meters in width and has a wheelbase of 2,010 mm
At the rear, it gets high-mounted stop lamps with split LED taillights
The MG Comet EV gets smaller aerodynamic 13-inch wheels which help in increasing its range
It is planned to launch in April 2023 and is expected to be priced between ₹10-15 Lakh in India
