IT giant Accenture announced 19,000 job cuts, which represents 2.5% of its workforce. Over 50% of the layoffs would impact employees in its non-billable corporate functions, it said.
Over the next 18 months, Accenture's layoffs move is expected to result in the departure of approximately 19,000 people. The company has set aside $1.2 billion for severance of the employees who will be let go.
