A 20-year veteran of the Hindi film industry, Katrina launched her make-up brand Kay Beauty in 2018. It is a joint venture with Falguni Nayar’s Nykaa termed as Nykaa-KK Beauty. Katrina holds a 41.5% stake in it and the JV is a direct subsidiary of Nykaa. “One of my biggest passions and interests in life from a very young age has been make-up,” says Katrina
“I don’t look at launching brands, but if I am passionate about something and the opportunity arises for me to step into the market, and I feel that I can add something, that is when I take that step,” said the actress and entrepreneur
Alia Bhatt is an independent investor in Nykaa and Phool. She co-owns Ed-a-Mamma, a maternity and childrenswear brand and has her own production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions
