Yoga guru Ramdev co-founded Patanjali Group known for organic and herbal products has launched a premium range of products to boost its profitability. As per Ramdev, these products are aimed at premium consumers and will help create wealth for Patanjali’s investors
Patanjali Foods Ltd. has launched a total of 6 products and 19 SKUs within the range of sports nutrition products
- Nutrela Sports, which includes sports drinks and supplements
- Nutrela MaxxMillets with 7 super grains
- Ragi, Jowar, Oats, Wheat, Rice, Maize, and Bengal Gram. It claims to be free of maida, artificial colours/flavours, preservatives, trans fat and cholesterol
- Patanjali Foods biscuits - Ragi Biscuits, 7-grain Biscuits and Digestive Biscuits
Patanjali Foods has also launched a premium range of branded dry fruits under ‘Nutrela MaxxNuts’ brand for Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios and Walnuts
"Indian sports nutrition industry is projected to grow at a CAGR of 18% to Rs 8,000 crore by 2028, as the demand for the sports nutrition products surges," Ramdev owned-FMCG firm Patanjali Foods said in a statement
Patanjali Group has set an ambitious target of crossing annual revenue of Rs 1 lakh crore by 2028. Ramdev said that the FMCG firm has already crossed Rs 45,000 crore yearly revenue-mark
Patanjali Foods Ltd was formerly known as Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd. In December 2019, Patanjali Ayurved acquired the bankrupt Ruchi Soya for approx. Rs 4,350 crore. The company was later rebranded as Patanjali Foods Ltd., which also included Patanjali’s biscuits and noodles business
Patanjali Foods Ltd current m-cap is Rs 4,14.60 billion. During the launch ceremony, the share price of the firm increased by 1.60% to Rs 1,141. On March 20, 2023, its share price touched a 52-week low of Rs 851.70
Patanjali Ayurved brand also owns Patanjali University in Haridwar and Patanjali Ayurved College. Patanjali Food Ltd. also sells Patanjali Daliya, Patanjali Oil and the entire FMCG product line of Ruchi Soya
