FMCG major Britannia Ltd has launched an AI-generated campaign named ‘1947% More History’ ahead of the 77th Independence Day. It features AI images of four living freedom fighters Leela Chitale, Lt. Asha Sahay, Lt R. Madhavan, Lakshmi Krishnan and Gour Hari Das
Britannia Ltd said in its video, “For 100+ years, Britannia has been a witness to India’s journey. This Independence Day, meet 1947’s last few living heroes through Britannia packs.”
People can use their mobile phones to scan the QR codes placed behind the packs of Britannia Ltd goods such as Marie Gold, Britannia Breads, Good Day, Winkin Cow and Milk Bikis. They will be redirected to the Britannia website www.britannia.co.in, where they can read the inspiring stories of freedom fighters and their role in helping India gain Independence from British rule. The entire campaign has been generated using AI tools

On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in 2021, the Government of India honoured him with a silver medal for his contribution to the Indian National Army and freedom struggle
95-year-old Indian freedom fighter Lakshmi Krishnan joined the Jhansi regiment of the Indian National Army. She volunteered to be part of the Indian National Army, and after tough training, she became a section Commander in the Rani Jhansi Regiment
Gour Hari Das was only 14 years old when he entered prison for the first time while fighting for India’s Independence. He was detained on January 26, 1945, together with his father and brother, for hoisting the Indian Flag in a public place. He later joined Vinoba Bhave's Bhoodan movement in Bihar and created improved models of the charkha and also worked as a school teacher at a Sevagram under Gandhiji's Nai Talim. Thereafter, he joined the Khadi and Village Industries Commission in Mumbai. A film was also produced on his life, ‘Gour Hari Dastaan: The Freedom File'
