Forbes has released a new list of America's richest billionaires in 2023. Four Indian American billionaires feature on the list. The net worth for the billionaires in the list have been compiled using stock prices from September 8, 2023, as per Forbes
X (formerly Twitter) Chairman Elon Musk has topped the list for a second year in a row with a net worth of $251 billion as of October 3. He is the co-founder of six companies including Tesla, SpaceX and a start-up called Boring Company
With a net worth of $9.2 billion, Jay Chaudhry is at 89th position. The CEO of a cybersecurity firm Zscaler, Chaudhry has founded four other tech companies that were all acquired: SecureIT, CoreHarbor, CipherTrust and AirDefense. He originally belongs to a small village in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. He did BTech from IIT-BHU and moved to the US in 1980 to pursue higher education at University of Cincinnati
With a net worth of $6.5 billion, Vinod Khosla is at the 161st position. Khosla co-founded computer hardware firm Sun Microsystems in 1982 with Andy Bechtolsheim, Bill Joy and Scott McNealy, and spent 18 years at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (now called Kleiner Perkins) before launching his own fund - Khosla Ventures. He is an IIT Delhi graduate and did his master's in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University
AI entrepreneur Romesh T Wadhwani is the chairman of Symphony AI, an enterprise AI firm with operations in retail, financial services and manufacturing that he founded in 2017. He is an IIT Bombay graduate and has received a PhD in 1972 in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. With a net worth of $5.1 billion, Wadhwani ranks at the 215th position
Rajiv Jain studied accounting at Panjab University and finance at the University of Ajmer before pursuing his MBA at the University of Miami

Currently, Mukesh Ambani ranks 12th on Forbes Real-Time Billionaires list with a net worth of $90.3 billion, as of October 6, 2023
