Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani as well as Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra were amongst the Indian business tycoons who were invited to the White House for the state dinner
Indian-origin industry leaders such as Google’s Sundar Pichai, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Adobe’s Shantanu Narayen, former PepsiCo chief Indra Nooyi, as well as filmmaker M Night Shyamalan were also on the guest list
Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and Indian American lawmakers including Pramila Jayapal, Shri Thanedar, Ro Khanna, Ami Bera and Raja Krishnamoorthi, were among the other guests at the state dinner
India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the dinner along with US diplomats and members of the Biden administration
In his address at the state dinner, Prime Minister Modi said, the guests here "symbolise so much about the US-India relationship - our energy, our dynamism, and our potential"
