Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced that it has expanded its collaboration with Azure OpenAI, a partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI. During the press conference after the announcement of Q2 FY24 results, CEO K. Krithivasan highlighted the growing importance of AI, describing it as a central point of discussion with IT and business leaders across various markets
The company also noted that TCS is now positioned as one of the largest global providers of AI-trainer workforce, with over 100,000 employees trained in AI methodologies
Wipro's CEO, Thierry Delaporte, reported after the announcement of Q2 FY24 results that the company has trained 180,000 employees in the fundamentals of generative AI in just one quarter
Wipro is also implementing generative AI in client-facing activities. The CEO explained that generative AI is becoming a fundamental part of client conversations across diverse industries, including healthcare, consumer services, financial sectors, high tech, and utilities
Wipro also announced that they would be investing $ 1 billion in their AI vertical called ai360. Under ai360, Wipro has also opened a Centre of Excellence at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh noted that the company has trained 57,000 employees in generative AI skills and is currently working on over 90 generative AI programs. Infosys is actively engaged in both proprietary and open source Large Language Models (LLMs), working in areas such as software development, text, voice, and video applications
The CEO added that Infosys is emphasizing an enterprise-focused approach to generative AI. Their applications extend both within the company and for clients, deploying generative AI to enhance various corporate functions
HCL Technologies CEO C. Vijayakumar identifies numerous opportunities in emerging areas like generative AI, with many already converting to successful projects in the implementation phase. He added that HCLTech is applying generative AI internally across its corporate functions, aiming to improve employee experiences and productivity.
