During a panel discussion at BT Best B-Schools & HR Summit with Shail Bhatnagar, Chief Analyst & Editor, Markets, BTTV, Priyanka Anand, VP, Head of HR, Ericsson India, talked about the pain points of the company in the post-pandemic era. She was part of a panel discussion along with other HR experts including Shailesh Singh, Director and Chief People Officer at Max Life Insurance, Prabir Jha, Founder & CEO of Jha People Advisory, and Dr NS Rajan, former CEO of IDFC Foundation
While talking about the hybrid work model, Priyanka Anand said, “We have always been embracing hybrid working, we always had a model of remote service centres. Remote-Hybrid-Flexible has been the mantra that we have embraced for over a century."
Dr NS Rajan further talked about the future of work as he said, “We have automation, AI, at a time when we are left with fewer job opportunities as compared to what we had 15 years ago and so, do people really matter in this equation?"
While sharing his views on the startups in India, Prabir Jha, Founder-CEO of Jha People Advisory, said, "Entrepreneurship is a big virtue but also a big curse of the times. I think, the start-ups are not adequately coached. They suffer from low empathy and lack of respect."
During a conversation with Aabha Bakaya, Senior Editor & Anchor of BTTV, Great Learning Co-Founder & CEO Krishnan Nair, Coursera MD Raghav Gupta, Eruditus Executive Education CFO Pranjal Kumar and Jaro Education CEO Ranjita Raman talked about the advent of online education during the session ‘Edtech - Making education better'
Jaro Education CEO Ranjita Raman said, "The challenge is how we create an immersive learning experience and personalised learning experience. The emerging trends are AI-based learning and VR-based learning."
Eruditus Executive Education CFO Pranjal Kumar said, "The journey of edtech at higher education level can be divided into three phases - Phase 1 was about democratisation of education, Phase 2 was about offline institutes adopting online education and Phase 3 is about changes in how education is getting delivered"
Coursera MD Raghav Gupta talked about the integration of premium B-schools in India with an online education portal. He said, “One of the successful outcomes of online education by the firm is taking IIM Ahmedabad's course and making it available to 75,000 people and learners, not just in the country but outside the country."
Pranjal Kumar talked about the metrics used to measure the effectiveness of online learning. He said, “The rate of completion of the course and another key metric is how many working professionals have actually upskilled or re-skilled and are pursuing the career in the domain they want to.”
