Padukone told Time magazine: “My mission has always been to make a global impact while still being rooted in my country."
Padukone said she is her “most vulnerable self” with her husband Ranveer Singh and said she never had to face the "shelf-life" question because he has always put her, and her ambitions first
Deepika Padukone, however, is not the only Indian celeb to appear on the Time magazine cover. Her Pathaan co-star Shah Rukh Khan also graced the magazine’s cover in 2004
A year prior to King Khan’s appearance on the cover of the magazine, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan featured on the magazine’s cover. Time magazine described her as "the new face of film" who was "leading the invasion as Bollywood goes global and gets hip".
