PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation virtually from South Africa on the success of India’s Moon Mission Chandrayaan-3. He congratulated the scientists of ISRO for making the mission a success. PM Modi said, "Every Indian is celebrating today. Every home is celebrating. I am also connected to the people of my country at this proud moment.” He added, “Sky is not the limit!”

ISRO celebrated the success of its Moon Mission with a tweet from Chandrayaan-3’s perspective. The handle wrote on X (Twitter), “Chandrayaan-3 Mission: 'India, I reached my destination and you too!': Chandrayaan-3. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully soft-landed on the moon! Congratulations, India!”

ISRO chief S Somanath spoke about what will happen next after the successful landing on the Moon’s south pole. He said that Chandrayaan-3's Pragyan rover will come out of the lander next. The ISRO chief added, "Looking forward to the exciting 14 days ahead. This is the beginning of the golden era."

PM Narendra Modi called ISRO chief S Somanath immediately after the success of Chandrayaan-3 and congratulated him on the phone. PM Modi told Somanath, “The name Somanath is related to the Moon. And for this, I’m sure your family members may also be feeling overjoyed today. Congratulate your team on my behalf.” Notably, ‘Somanath’ means Lord of the Moon or Protector of the Moon God

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh celebrated the historic monet and wrote on X (Twitter), “Hail #IndiaOnMoon. Hail #ISRO! While others fantasise Moon, we have felt the Moon. While others stuck in flight of dreams, #Chandrayaan3 has actualised the dream. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson wrote on Twitter, “Congratulations @isro on your successful  Chandrayaan-3 lunar South Pole landing! And congratulations to #India on being the 4th country to successfully soft-land a spacecraft on the Moon. We’re glad to be your partner on this mission!”
