Jacob & Co., a luxury brand known for its expertise in jewellery and watchmaking, has created the Billionaire Ashoka, a limited-edition timepiece priced at a staggering Rs 58 crore (around $7 million).
The watch takes its inspiration from Indian kings, showcasing a regal design and a lavish display of diamonds that pay homage to royal heritage.
The Billionaire Ashoka features an array of 656 emerald-cut white diamonds, weighing a total of 129 carats. The diamonds are of exceptional clarity and size, making the timepiece one of the most luxurious on the market.
Only 18 pieces of the Billionaire III have been produced, adding to its exclusivity. Each piece is a testament to the high level of craftsmanship and luxury Jacob & Co. is known for.
The watch is designed to merge high jewellery with advanced watchmaking. The skeleton movement of the watch is crafted to accommodate extensive gem-setting, with ultra-thin bridges made of white gold set with 57 baguette-cut diamonds.
The Billionaire III is powered by the JCAM39 caliber, a hand-wound skeleton movement featuring a tourbillon mechanism. The tourbillon counteracts the effects of gravity, improving the accuracy of the watch and adding to its technical prestige.
Despite the intricate gem setting and thin movement structure, the watch boasts a power reserve of 72 hours, making it a standout in terms of both design and functionality.
With its large, diamond-covered frame, the Billionaire Ashoka is designed to be a bold statement of affluence. The extravagant use of diamonds and luxurious materials makes it a symbol of ultimate wealth and status.
The Billionaire Ashoka is reserved for a very select clientele, with its white gold bracelet adorned with 504 emerald-cut diamonds. As a rare masterpiece, it represents the pinnacle of luxury and exclusivity in the world of fine watchmaking and high jewellery.
