Assam entered the Guinness World Record for the largest Bihu recital. Over 11,000 performers participated in the performance at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati

Rongali or Bohag Bihu marks the Assamese New Year and is observed in the first week of the month Bohag or mid-April every year. Bihu is celebrated thrice a year– Bhogali or Magh Bihu (January), Bohag or Rongali Bihu (April), and Kongali Bihu (October)
