Share markets outlook today (December 28)

On December 27, benchmark indices reached a fresh record high, with Nifty closing above 21,600. The Sensex closed up 701.63 points or 0.98 per cent at 72,038.43, while the Nifty closed up 213.50 points or 1.00 percent at 21,654.80, as per Mandar Bhojane Equity Research Analyst Choice Broking.

Nifty outlook today (December 27): Analyst view

Looking at the daily chart, Nifty had a volatile session but managed to make a new record high of 21,675.55 and closed above 21,600. It formed a strong bullish candle on the chart with good volume, indicating a strong bullish momentum in the index. Overall, Nifty is maintaining a strong bullish trend with support levels at 21,500 and 21,400. Positional traders are advised to hold Nifty with a stop loss at 21,350 as per  Mandar Bhojane Equity Research Analyst Choice Broking.

Bank Nifty (December 28)

On weekly expiry day, the mood for Bank Nifty has turned positive again as the index bounces back above 47,900. In today's trading, the 48,000 Call strike has the highest open interest, indicating a potential barrier. But if Bank Nifty can stay above 48,000, it might move up to 48,500, as per Mr Shrey Jain, Founder and CEO SAS Online.

Petrol, diesel prices today (December 28)

Public sector OMCs including BPCL, IOCL and HPCL revise their petrol price and diesel price daily in line with international benchmark prices and forex rates. Petrol and diesel prices remained stable today in major cities.
