Preparations for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya are in full swing, with devotees set to visit the impressive Ram temple on January 22.
For those unable to visit Ayodhya, astrologer Pandit Vinod Soni Pauddar while talking to News 18, shared guidance on how to perform the pooja at home during the consecration day.
The ideal home temple location is the north-east corner. Pooja items include betel nut, mouli, kumkum, Ganga jal, an idol of Lord Ram, desi ghee, incense sticks, sandalwood, flowers, fruits, sweets, camphor, and a pooja thali.
Prior to the pooja, thoroughly cleanse the home temple, dispose of outdated items, and maintain personal cleanliness by taking a bath and donning clean attire.
Position the idol of Lord Ram on the altar, start the pooja adhering to rituals, and articulate a resolution for the pooja while holding water in your hands. Illuminate lamps, offer kumkum, akshat, sandalwood, flowers, fruits, sweets, panchamrit, and kheer. Conclude with aarti using burning camphor.
It's crucial not to keep a broken idol in the home temple. Obtain a new idol and ceremoniously introduce it on Pran Pratishtha, aligning with an auspicious time like the Abhijeet Muhurat.
Conduct jalabhishek and panchamrit bath for the idol, keep a regularly lit ghee lamp in front of the deity, face eastward during worship, and follow rules like replacing flower garlands daily.
Adorn the Ram Lalla temple with vibrant flowers, replacing faded ones promptly. Maintain a well-lit temple to avoid any semblance of darkness, as it is considered inauspicious. Following these rituals ensures the continuous blessings of Lord Ram in your home and family.
