As of 3:30 pm on the ECI official website, Congress had won 62 seats with leads in 73; BJP had won 29 seats with leads in 36 seats while JDS had managed to register wins on 10 seats with leads in 10 seats

Former CM and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy welcomed the mandate of the people of the state. He accepted defeat while adding, “However, this defeat is not final, my struggle will not stop, I will always be with the people.”
