BJP wins 3 out of 4 states

In a momentous electoral feat, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to clinch victories in Chhattisgarh (leading in 55 seats), Madhya Pradesh (leading in 163 seats), and Rajasthan (leading in 116 seats). Conversely, the Congress, facing setbacks in northern states, is making significant strides in Telangana, leading on 64 seats. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest winners and losers of assembly elections 2023.

Revanth Reddy

Despite trailing in Kamareddy to Ramana Reddy of BJP and BRS’s K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Revanth Reddy is currently leading in the Kodangal constituency by 30,937 votes. He is also poised to become the next Chief Minister of Telangana as the Congress Party is leading in 64 seats as against BRS’s 39 and BJP’s 8 seats.

BIGGEST WINNERS :

Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, initially perceived to be sidelined for this election, orchestrated a significant comeback for the BJP. The saffron party is set to win 160-plus seats.

Raman Singh

Rajasthan, which has a history of not repeating government, has voted out incumbent Congress. The BJP is back in power with thumping majority. The internal rivalry between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his party colleague Sachin Pilot appears to have compounded the challenges for the Congress.

K Chandrashekar Rao

Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is on the verge of being ousted from his CM role as he is currently trailing behind KV Ramana Reddy in the Kamareddy constituency by 3,514 votes and his party is losing majority seats to Congress Party. However, there was some respite for KCR as the trends showed that the CM, who contested from the two seats, was leading from the Gajwel constituency with a vote margin of 11,714 against his nearest rival Eatala Rajender of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
