A restaurant in New Jersey created a new special ‘thali’ honouring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming state visit to the United States. The thali has been named as ‘Modi Ji Thali’

Created by Chef Shripad Kulkarni, 'Modi Ji thali' includes khichdi, sarson ka saag, Kashmiri dum aloo, idli, dhokla, chaach, papad and rasgulla along with a few other dishes.

PM Modi is going on a state visit to the US, where he will reach on June 21, World Yoga Day. On June 21 the PM will emphasise the advantages at a United Nations’ programme, where he will be joined by the UN Secretary-General.

PM Modi is set to address a joint session of US Congress on June 2. This is going to be the second time when PM Modi addresses a joint session of the US Congress, the first being in 2016.

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host PM Modi for a State Dinner on June 22.

On June 23, PM Modi is expected to speak to the chairman and CEOs of top US companies at John F Kennedy Centre in Washington about the economic cooperation between the two countries.

After the meeting with CEOs, PM Modi will address the Indian diaspora at the prestigious Ronald Reagan Building in the evening of June 23.

Before the official visit of PM Modi, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and many top members of the Biden administration are set to address the India Ideas Summit on June 12 and 13. India Ideas Summit will be hosted by the US-India Business Council (USIBC)  which consists of top corporate players from India and the US. The theme for this year's annual summit is Trust, Resilience, and Growth.

After addressing the diaspora in the evening on June 23, PM Modi will leave for his second state visit to Egypt on the invitation of Abdel Fatah al-Sisi. Though this will be his first visit to Egypt, there have been frequent high-level exchanges between the two sides recently. India has also invited Egypt to the G20-Summit in September as a guest country.
