Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was even seen lifting a luggage bag over his head at the Anand Vihar Railway Station as the people cheered him on.

Congress shared photos of Rahul Gandhi interacting with the porters and captioned it, “People's hero Rahul Gandhiji met his porter friends at the Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi today. Recently, a video had gone viral in which the porter friends of the railway station had expressed their desire to meet him.”

With this interaction, Rahul Gandhi is asserting that his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is still on. Gandhi’s ‘aam aadmi’ moves have led him to make a string of visits in recent times where he met people from all walks of life from students to mechanics. Last year, when he walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he had emphasised on meeting people at the grass-root level.

In August, Rahul Gandhi had visited the Azadpur Mandi in northern part of Delhi where he interacted with vegetable vendors. One of the videos from his visit went viral as a vendor was shown talking about rising vegetable prices and its impact on the lower and middle class.

Earlier in July, the Congress leader went to Madina village in Haryana’s Sonipat district. Rahul Gandhi was on his way to Shimla when he made this impromptu visit and even helped the farmers in transplanting paddy crops. He also drove a tractor and interacted with farmers in the drizzling rain.

In June, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi interacted with motorcycle mechanics in the Karol Bagh area of the national capital. He visited a bike-repairing shop and even helped in fixing the bike with the help of a screwdriver.

During the campaign for Karnataka Assembly polls, Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi had lunch with gig workers and delivery agents of e-commerce companies in Bengaluru. Gandhi sat with them in a restaurant and shared a cup of coffee and masala dosa. The workers interacted with the Congress MP and shared their issues with him regarding rising prices and unstable employment. He even went on a scooter ride with one of the agents.

Earlier in April, Rahul Gandhi met students preparing for the exams of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in Mukherjee Nagar area of Delhi. Gandhi interacted with them while sitting on a chair roadside and asked them about their experiences and expectations.
