UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak attended 'Ram Katha' by Hindu spiritual preacher Morari Bapu at the Cambridge University campus. Later, Rishi Sunak addressed the gathering at the Jesus College which hosted the event. He started by chanting 'Jai Shree Ram' and continued saying, “Being Prime Minister is a great honour, but it is not an easy job. There are difficult decisions to make, hard choices to confront and our faith gives me courage, strength, and resilience to do the best that I can for our country”.
UK PM Sunak added that Lord Rama will always be a source of inspiration for him."I leave here today remembering the Ramayana that Bapu speaks on, but also the Bhagavad Gita and the Hanuman Chalisa. And for me, Lord Ram will always be an inspirational figure to face life's challenges with courage, to govern with humility, and to work selflessly,” he said.
Morari Bapu then gifted Rishi Sunak a Shivlinga from the Somnath temple which he brought as part of his Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra.
