Astronomers anticipate 2024 JF's closest approach at 8:04 p.m. ET on Monday, followed by the 10-meter-long asteroid 2024 JR1, which will make its closest approach on Tuesday.
The encounters can be watched live from Monday at 3:30 p.m. ET via the Virtual Telescope Project.
2024 JF will be approximately 295,000 miles away at its closest approach, while 2024 JR1 will be closer, at about 184,000 miles from Earth.
2024 JR1 was discovered just three days before its approach and will pass by closer to Earth than the moon.
During their closest approaches, 2024 JR1 will be in the Ursa Major constellation, while 2024 JF will be in Boötes, as reported by The Sky Live.
Two days later, another space rock named 2024 JD will approach Earth from roughly 172,741 miles, posing no threat.
2024 JD's distance will be less than that from Earth to the moon, similar to the other two asteroids.
Despite their close approaches, all three asteroids are deemed non-threatening to Earth.
