Indian equity market is closed today on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. "The Indian equity markets are experiencing a robust momentum, with key index heavyweights recently joining the rally. Despite intermittent corrections, the overall positive outlook for Indian markets remains, driven by economic growth, strong corporate earnings, robust expected inflows, and valuations in line with historical averages. "Gold prices edged higher on Monday, with the spot gold price at Comex trading up by 0.15% at $1927 per ounce. We anticipate gold prices to consolidate in range before the FOMC policy outcome, and post-event volatility is likely to expand. For the week, Comex gold has first support at $1,901; a fall below that level can retest August's low of $1,884, and it has resistance at $1,935 and $1,960. The MCX Gold (October) contract is expected to move in a price range of Rs 58,600 to Rs 59,580,"said Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities, HDFC Securities

“Crude oil prices hovered near recent high, with benchmark NYMEX WTI crude oil trading up by 0.10% at $91.25 per barrel against the previous close. We maintain our long-term bullish view on crude oil on the back of an improved demand outlook and tight supply. Technically, WTI crude oil price is forming a higher top and higher bottom formation on the daily chart, which has short-term Fib. supports around $88 and $86.25, while resistance is at the $93.8 and $95 mark. MCX crude oil October contract is anticipated to move in the range of Rs 7,260 to Rs 7,700 this week,” said Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities, HDFC Securities
