Dubai now offers a 5-year multiple-entry visa to boost travel from India, making it easier for tourists and business travelers to enter the UAE multiple times within a year. This initiative is aimed at strengthening tourism and economic ties.
In 2023, Dubai welcomed 2.46 million visitors from India, a 25% increase compared to pre-pandemic levels, according to Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism. India remains Dubai’s top source market for tourism.
The visa allows travelers to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days, extendable once for another 90 days, totaling 180 days per year. The visa is issued within 2-5 working days after application approval.
To apply for the 5-year visa, applicants must have a bank balance of $4,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency), valid health insurance in the UAE, a return ticket, and proof of stay, such as hotel bookings or residential addresses.
Applicants need to submit a colored photo, a copy of their passport, valid medical insurance, a 6-month bank statement showing a balance of $4,000, and a travel itinerary, along with their ticket for onward travel.
Through the GDRFA website or app, applicants can log in using UAE Pass or a username, fill out the required details, and pay the necessary fees to complete their application digitally.
Applicants can also visit the Customer Happiness Center, submit the required documents to a customer service representative, and pay the service fees for processing the visa application.
Once approved, the multi-entry visa is valid for five years from the date of issuance. The applicant does not require a local sponsor, making the process more accessible for independent travelers.
The applicant must have a valid passport (minimum six months) and medical insurance in the UAE, along with a return or onward travel ticket. They cannot stay in the UAE for more than 180 days in a year.
This visa offers flexibility for frequent travelers, allowing for multiple entries and exits without a sponsor, making it ideal for business trips, family visits, and extended stays in Dubai.
