In the Indian Armed Forces, service chiefs and the President have aides-de-camp. The President's aides-de-camp include officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Territorial Army.

State governors in India typically have two aides-de-camp, one from the Indian Armed Forces and another from the Indian or state police services. In Jammu and Kashmir, both aides-de-camp to the governor are appointed from the Indian Army.
