The world anticipates two significant celestial occurrences back-to-back, with the Total Solar Eclipse set to grace the skies on April 8, followed by a lunar eclipse in the final weeks of March.
Coinciding with the Holi celebrations in India, a penumbral lunar eclipse is scheduled to take place on March 25, visible in various parts of the world.
During a penumbral lunar eclipse, the Earth partially obstructs the Sun's light from reaching the Moon, casting a faint shadow on its surface due to their imperfect alignment.
The eclipse will be observable in numerous countries, including Europe, North/East Asia, Australia, Africa, and North America, among others, with several cities poised to witness the celestial event.
Cities such as Suva, Reykjavik, New York, San Juan, Mexico City, Anadyr, and many others are among those where the eclipse will be visible, providing spectators with an opportunity to witness this astronomical phenomenon.
Regrettably, the penumbral lunar eclipse will not be visible in India, as it is projected to occur below the horizon.
The Lunar Eclipse is slated to commence on March 25 at 10:23 am IST, marking the beginning of this celestial spectacle.
