India has won 15 of the 26 T20 matches they've played against Australia. Australia has won 10 matches, and one match ended without a result. India has won three times in T20 WC games.
In light of the previous head-to-head records, Australia has 52% chance to win the series vs India. This takes in account the performance of Pat Cummins-led Australian team vs Rohit Sharma-led Indian team in World Cup.
Shreyas Iyer has been rested for the three first matches and will join Team India for the last two matches in Raipur and Bengaluru.
As per the original plan, Hardik Pandya was set to lead Team India in the Ind vs Aus T20 series but he is yet to recover from his injury and has been rested. All-rounder player will be out for another two months as he suffered a series injury during India vs Bangladesh and was ruled out of the remaining World Cup 2023
Suryakumar's strike rate has been high - 172.70 in 53 T20 ODIs. Ruturaj Gaikwad has led Team India to victory in Asian Games 2022. Rest, Rinku Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal and others have recently played in IPL 2023 and thus T20 series would give them a good exposure to international cricket format
