BCCI has released the schedule for the World Cup closing ceremony. Here are the details
Indian Air Force (IAF)'s Suryakiran aerobatic team will be carrying out a flypast over the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the venue of the ICC Cricket World Cup final, ahead of the title clash. Suryakiran IAF show is scheduled between 1:35 pm and 1:50 pm
Some other specials guests will likely be former Indian captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kapil Dev
Earlier, there was speculation that pop star Dua Lipa might perform at the World Cup closing ceremony this Sunday. A video by Star Sports sparked off these rumours where during a session Ask Dua Lipa, Indian opener Shubman Gill asked Dua Lipa, if she had to perform in world cup opening and closing ceremony, which song would she pick. However, the official schedule of the World Cup final has no mention of a performance by Dua Lipa
Indian artist Aditya Gadhvi, who became a viral sensation after the release of Coke Studio Bharat's song Khalasi during Navratri festivities in the country, will be performing at the closing ceremony. His performance will take place during the first innings drinks break. During IPL 2023, Aditya performed the Gujarat Titans anthem 'Aava De' before a match at Narendra Modi Stadium
During the innings break in India vs Australia World Cup match, a host of performances have been lined up. Singers Pritam Chakraborty and Jonita Gandhi are are set to perform. Apart from them, Nakash Azizi, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh and Tushar Joshi will also be performing
