The 21-year-old left-hand batsman scored a stunning century while opening with captain Rohit Sharma on his debut. Yashasvi ended Day 2 of the match with a score of 143 runs, not out. Yashasvi also became the 17th Indian batsman to score a century on his Test debut. Notably, no Indian has scored a double century on their Test debut. Will Yashasvi complete this feat too, is yet to be seen. He also broken the record for facing most balls (350) on a Test debut.
