Hailing from a modest background, Rinku Singh, the third among five siblings, faced financial challenges during his early years. His father, Khanchandra Singh, worked in an LPG distribution company, and the family resided in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Rinku Singh's cricket journey began at the Under-16, Under-19, and Under-23 levels for Uttar Pradesh. He made his List A debut in March 2014 and first-class debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy, finishing as the leading run-scorer in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.

Controversy

Rinku Singh faced a suspension from the BCCI on May 30, 2019, for participating in the Ramadan T20 Tournament in Abu Dhabi without seeking prior permission to play.
